The Birkenbihl Method
Understand word by word. When "decoding", every sentence is transferred word by word into your language – the sentence structure of the foreign language stays intact. You understand grammar intuitively, without drilling rules.
Listening-Reading
Combine reading and listening. You read the translation while listening to the original audio – then read along in the original text. Sound and meaning connect automatically.
Comprehensible Input
Enjoy comprehensible input. According to Krashen, you acquire a language through content you understand almost completely, that genuinely interests you – and of which you consume plenty.
The learning modes at a glance
Depending on your goal, simply switch modes in the Flow-Reader:
- Read along silently → listening comprehension. Listen to the text and read along silently. Sound and script connect automatically.
- Read along aloud → pronunciation. Speak aloud in chorus (choral reading). Your pronunciation aligns with the native speaker.
